PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the content of Pb component in a marking layer formed on the surface of an insulator to display letters, symbols, an images and the like. SOLUTION: The content of Pb component contained in the marking layer 2m on the surface of the insulator 2 is made to be 5 mol % or less when converted into PbO, and the marking layer contains one or two or more kinds of alkali metal components selected from among Si component, Al component, Li component, Na component, and K component. and is composed of a color developing component containing one or more kinds of V component, Cr component, Mn component, Fe component, Co component, Ni component, Cu component, Pr component, Nd component, Au component, Cd component, Sn component, Sb component, and Se component.
