PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device capable of surely detecting two-sheet insertion of disks. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a substrate member 110 where a disk insertion port into which a disk 102 is to be inserted is formed, a sliding plate 120 which is arranged near the disk insertion port and which operates by performing loading while being abutted to the circumference of the disk, a lever member 130 which rotates while being abutted to the sliding plate 120, a lever movement member 140 which is arranged at rather inner side of a loading direction A than the lever member 130 and which rotates by performing loading while being abutted to the circumference part of the disk, a photodetecting part 150 which detects the operation of the lever member 130, a photodetecting part 151 which detects the operation of the lever movement member 140, and an identifying part which identifies the insertion state of the disk which is inserted into the disk port on the basis of the detection results of the photodetecting part 150 and the photodetecting part 151.
