PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust operation characteristics of an image display device. SOLUTION: At a prescribed timing, a characteristic data setting part makes a reference signal generation part generate an analog reference image signal on the basis of preliminarily prepared reference image data. A signal selection part selects the analog reference image signal. An AD conversion part converts the analog reference image signal selected by the signal selection part to a digital image signal in accordance with preliminarily set characteristic data. Characteristic data set in the AD conversion part is so adjusted that image data represented by the digital image signal inputted from the AD conversion part to an image conversion processing part may be approximated to reference picture data.
