PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize space saving by disposing a plurality of optical scanners having common optical performance without making a mutual performance difference between the optical scanners and to miniaturize an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus in which a plurality of image forming parts are arranged along in a horizontal direction has a plurality of optical scanners equipped with a light source device emitting a light beam, a light deflector having a plurality of deflection surfaces to deflect the light beam, an image formation optical system and a plurality of reflection mirrors guiding the reflected light beam to a surface to be scanned, and a frame body integrally supporting them and set so that the arranging spot of the reflection mirror finally reflecting the light beam radiated to the surface to be scanned may be in the direction of the incident light beam on the reflection mirror or a fixed direction, and the optical scanners 4a and 4c and the optical scanners 4b and 4d out of a plurality of optical scanners are arranged at partially different positions in a direction perpendicular to the fixed direction.
