MASSAGE UNIT AND CHAIR TYPE MASSAGE MACHINE INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a seat back part compact by arranging an advancing/retracting mechanism at a part where the mechanism does not disturb medical treatment mechanisms without increasing a dimension in a front and rear direction, and also to facilitate the maintenance of the inner part of the seat back part. SOLUTION: A massage unit includes: an elevating/lowering frame 16 to be stored inside the seat back part of a chair so as to be freely elevated/lowered; a rocking member 17 pivotally attached to the frame 16 so as to be freely rockable in the front and rear direction; the medical treatment mechanisms 19 which are attached to the rocking member 17 and have medical treating elements 18 for massaging the body of a user 3; and the advancing/retracting mechanism 20 for rocking the rocking member 17 forward and backward so as to advance and retract the medical treating elements 18 of the medical treatment mechanisms 19 to and from the user 3.
