PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tableware such as chopsticks capable of giving ease to a user. SOLUTION: The material of the chopsticks 1 is wood or bamboo. The body 2 of the chopsticks 1 is coated with Japanese lacquer U as a finishing material 3, and shellac S is applied as an underlying material 4 to the finishing material 3. A user can use the chopsticks 1 without worry because shellac S, a natural material, is used in the chopsticks 1 touching a user's mouth and food while the user uses the chopsticks in eating meals.
