PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the mis-reversion of a switching mechanism of a fishing reel kept in a line-releasing state by a non-contacting magnetic action. SOLUTION: A rotor is attached by supporting a cylindrical rotary shaft 11 with a bearing in the front part 1a of a reel body 1. A disk collar 1b is formed at the back of the front part 1a of the body 1 and a ring-shaped magnetic material 21 is fixed to the front face of the collar 1b. One of the supporting arms of the rotor contains an action rod and a pipe 4 swinging by the selection of a line winding position and a line releasing position and protruding from the supporting arm. A bail-acting member 5 is rotatably attached to the rear face of the supporting arm with a screw 30. The acting member is rotated at the rear end 4c of the pipe 4. The protruded part 5c of the bail-acting member 5 and a magnet 31 are positioned in a non-contacting magnetic action area opposite to the ring-shaped magnetic material 21 and receives the magnetic force in the line-releasing state.
