It is intended to provide a nonhuman mammal or a part of its body in which a foreign PPARalpha-encoding DNA is stably carried in an expressible state and which has one or more other gene modifications causing a pathology identical or similar to a diseases in which PPARalpha activity regulation participates or carries a foreign DNA under the regulation by a promoter having PPRE; and a method of screening a foreign PPARalpha agonist/antagonist with the use of the above animal.
