<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read an objective data item correctly even if a plurality of wireless tags of different data structures are present in a communication area, while sustaining a range of which a higher level application should be aware concerning the structure of user data held in the wireless tag to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: A reader/writer (inquiry device) 201, for reading the data, interprets a command at first, makes a request for reading data structure prescriptive information from a wireless tag 202 (definition tag) holding the data structure prescriptive information, and acquires it. Then, on the basis of the data structure prescriptive information, makes a request for reading of the objective data item from a wireless tag 203 (data tag) holding the data item, and acquires the objective data item from the wireless tag 203. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
