PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably correct both a major part of an object and the other part and to prevent a correction gap, in an image processing device performing image quality correction processing.

SOLUTION: A parameter generation part 22 adjusts a correction parameter for the major part on the basis of a correction applying intensity distribution in which the center of the major part is corrected maximally and the correction is attenuated gradually. An object part correction part 24 corrects image quality on the basis of the adjusted correction parameter and generates a partial corrected image of the center of the major part by correcting in accordance with an image output intensity distribution in which the image data at the center of the major part is left maximally and the image data is faded gradually. A parameter generation part 32 adjusts a correction parameter for a background part on the basis of the correction applying intensity distribution having the property reverse to the property for the major part. A background part correction part 34 corrects image quality on the basis of the adjusted correction parameter and generates a partial corrected image of the background part by correcting in accordance with the image output intensity distribution having the property reverse to the property for the major part. A composite processing part 70 composes partial corrected images.
