<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst apparatus which is downsized while retaining the required heat-exchange performance. <P>SOLUTION: The CO removal system 23 is equipped with a catalyst layer 10 filled with a catalyst and a support 6 for supporting the catalyst layer 10. The support 6 has a heat-exchanger structure wherein wire fins 1 made of a good heat conductor are placed around each of two or more essential heat carriers 2. A fuel cell system is equipped with the CO removal system 23, a reformer 21 and at least one chosen from an evaporator or a heater 15 for generating a fuel gas from a raw material. The support 6 composing the CO removal system 23 is at least partially composed of a heat pipe 3 which is connected to at least one chosen from the evaporator and the heater 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
