<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new structure deterring temperature rising of a lamp, making the lamp thin, and preventing scattering of the broken lamp in explosion, catching mercury coming out in explosion, and preventing leaking-out of the mercury to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature rising of a concave mirror inner surface reflecting film is suppressed by covering the outside surface of a glass concave mirror of a high pressure lamp with a mesh to increase a heat radiation surface area, and at the same time, the coming-off of the concave mirror caused by the generation of cracks in explosion of the high pressure lamp is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
