<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the management efficiency and convenience of a communication management system by efficiently collecting the set information of a VLAN. <P>SOLUTION: An operation management section 11 manages the constituted state of the VLAN by transmitting a test starting command to only one node and receiving test result data. A route-side test executing section 21b generates a test packet including its own ID by storing its own VLAN set information in a test result storing section 21a, and transmits the generated test packet to its adjacent node when the section 21b accepts the test starting command. When the executing section 21b receives a response packet, it informs a network management device 10 of the VLAN set information as test result data by fetching the VLAN set information from the response packet and storing the information in the storing section 21a.
