<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector that can avoid the unevenness of heat of a solder ball received when the ball is soldered to a circuit board, and ensures the excellent soldering ability of the solder ball. <P>SOLUTION: The electric connector comprises a flat base 2, a cover 3 fitted on the base 2 and a drive unit 4 arranged between the base 2 and the cover 3. A thicker header 21 for receiving the drive unit 4, and a conductive part 22 adjoining the header 21 having a plurality of terminal receiving grooves 223 are formed to the base 2. The header 21 has a flat bonding surface 212 coming into contact with a circuit board, and a groove 211 having a prescribed depth is formed in a convex-shape at the central area of the bonding surface 212. The same number of conductive terminals 224 as that of the terminal receiving grooves 223 are arranged in the terminal receiving grooves 223, and a solder ball 222 is arranged at the end of the conductive terminal 224 adjacent to the circuit board. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
