PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc reducing device for instantly suppressing an arc in the case of the occurrence of the arc inside an electric circuit and minimizing bad effect on the circuit by the arc. SOLUTION: The arc reducing device F is provided with an FET 13 that switches on and off current supply from batteries B of the electric circuit to an electrical load 29 and a detection part 15 that detects the value of a current flowing from the batteries B to the load 29. Also, a determining part 31 is provided that changes over and drives the FET 13 in such a way as to switch off the current supply if the current value detected by the detecting part 15 meets prescribed conditions, which are considered to be the conditions of a current value on the occurrence of an arc. The determining part 31 changes over and drives the FET 13 to the OFF side when the current value detected by the detecting part 15 becomes less than the prescribed arc-discriminating threshold value.
