PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver which secures broadcast station information of an optimum broadcast service area without a large capacity recording device and can continuously receive the receiving program, even when the reception state is deteriorated at the outside of the broadcast service area, and which can well cope with the change of the data of the broadcast station information in the broadcast receiver moving in a vehicle or the like. SOLUTION: A communication terminal means 11 provided on a broadcast receiver acquires latitude and longitude information at the current location and broadcast station information through the Internet, stores them in a broadcast station information storage memory 3, controls a selection means 2 in accordance with the broadcast station information recorded in the broadcast station information storage memory 3, and receives the broadcast.
