PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manage a memory in a main body depending on a kind of a tuner unit and its mount state. SOLUTION: At application of power 28 to the receiver main body 20a, the digital receiver does not immediately conduct invalidation but first checks attachment / detachment history of a tuner unit 10a stored in the memory 24, and confirms whether or not there is history of a removed state of the tuner unit 10a. The digital receiver invalidates, that is, deletes broadcast wave information stored in the memory 24 only when the tuner unit 10a is removed. Since the digital receiver automatically checks the mount history and discriminates the processing of the broadcast wave information every application of the power supply, the digital receiver can manage the information more efficiently rather than a case where information is invalidated every time the power supply 28 of the receiver main body 20a is merely interrupted.
