PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device capable of recording/reproducing data at high speed by recording parity information in writing RAID (redundant array of independent disks) in a mass IC memory. SOLUTION: Optical disks provided with the IC memories are individually set to optical disk drives 404-407 arranged at the information recording device. In this information recording device, recorded input data 401 is inputted to a RAID writing data generating means 402 by an external information processor, and the input data is subjected to data stripe processing by the means 402 and made RAID writing data which is sent to the optical disk drives. In these drives, processing of writing RAID data in the optical disks is executed. Information on RAID data generation is sent from the means 402 to a data storage means 403 where the information is temporarily stored. After writing of the RAID data is completed, the information on the RAID data generation store in the data storage means 403 is sent to each of the drives 404-407 and recorded in the IC memory of each optical disk.
