PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting structure of sheet glass having an excellent wind pressure resistance and a method for fixing the sheet glass. SOLUTION: The fitting structure of sheet glass, in which a rectangular sheet glass 1 whose upper and lower sides are respectively fit into grooves for fitting glass for supporting, while the right and left sides of the sheet glass 1 are made to be free. In the fitting structure, either one of the lower or the upper supported sides, or both of them of the sheet glass 1 are fixed firmly by using, for example, a filler 2 with a gypsum-base or the like so that the sheet glass 1 is not displaced substantially inside the grooves for fitting the glass in a the thickness direction of the sheet glass 1.
