PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior finishing material for building members, which is excellent in solid feeling and an appearance in design, as well as a method to efficiently manufacture the interior finishing material. SOLUTION: While the finishing surface material 3 is pasted on the surface of a substrate member 1 which is provided with a recessed channel 2 in a straight line, the median part of the finishing surface covering the opening part of the recessed channel 2 is cut and divided along its full length and by bending these opposing-ends 3a,3a into the channel 2 at a right angle, the back surfaces of the divided opposing-ends 3a,3a are pasted onto the side surfaces of the channel 2a,2a facing to each other. Furthermore, a strip-shaped slit member 4 of colored synthetic resins, which has a thickness smaller than the length from the top surface of the interior finishing material 3 to the bottom surface of the channel 2, is inserted and fitted into the channel 2 in succession to the opposing-ends 3a,3a of the finishing material 3 of a different color from the slit member 4.
