PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly awaken a driver without providing an exclusive device when the driver cannot concentrate on driving caused by impaired consciousness. SOLUTION: A brake control ECU1 calculates an awakening degree corresponding to an existence of an operation of a brake pedal and an accelerator and a shift operation and a handle operation and the reduction state of a motion of a glance and controls a hydraulic brake device 2 to increase/decrease braking force imparted to respective wheels at a predetermined cycle for a constant period when it is judged that the awakening degree is reduced. Thereby, a vibration caused by the increase/decrease of the braking force is generated on a car body during traveling, and the driver whose consciousness is impaired is awakened by this vibration.
