PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a termite repellent timber which can sustain a long period effect by using a cheap repellent harmless to persons and beasts, and to provide a method for efficiently manufacturing the timber without needing a large-scale facility. SOLUTION: The termite repellent timber in which a paraffin barrier layer is formed in a timber outer layer tissue is obtained by dipping a timber in a molten paraffin bath for a predetermined time, then pouring the paraffin in the timber by a warm/cold bath method for immersing in the molten paraffin bath at a temperature lower than the previous paraffin bath and then taking out the timber and cooling the timber.
