The lighter-than-air craft is an airship (1) which by a cable arrangement is detachably connected to at least one aerostatic lift component (6) which has load holding means (10) and is designed statically heavy. Two low-stretch support cables (3a,3b) of defined length and held apart by an upper (2) and lower (3) trapezium with connecting elements are fitted between the airship and haulage cables (5a,5b) of the lift component. The aerostatic lift component for loading, unloading and parking is kept on the ground by tensioning cables and tensioning devices.
