MODEL ANIMAL HAVING NONCANCEROUS LIVER TISSUE TRANSPLANTED THEREIN AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING THE SAME

A hepatitis model animal carrying a human noncancerous liver tissue is constructed by administering anti-asialo GM1 antibody to a skid mouse, which is an immune deficient animal, to induce the defection of natural killer cell-dependent immune responsibility and then subcutaneously transplanting a noncancerous liver tissue (for example, a normal liver tissue, a liver tissue originating in a patient with hepatitis B or hepatitis C, etc.) originating in humans into the kidney of the skid mouse. Because of having the human liver tissue, this model animal is effectively usable in animal experiments in a state fairly close to humans compared with the conventional model animals.
