[Also in Division F1] A helium compressor 6 discharging into a consumer line draws from a heat exchanger 5 which serves to warm helium gas withdrawn from a storage reservoir 1 through lines 7, 40 and also serves to vaporize liquid helium withdrawn from reservoir 1 through lines 4, 40 and in the event of gas pressure in reservoir 1 falling below a predetermined limit liquid helium is diverted from line 4, revaporized in a heat exchanger (not shown) and returned through a valve 13 and line 7 to the reservoir 1. Valve 13 is controlled by a device 14 responsive to reservoir pressure, a valve 11 in line 7 is similarly controlled by a device 21 and a valve 12 in line 4 is controlled by a device 10 which is responsive to flow in line 40. A second liquid delivery line 3 of reservoir 1 is connected through a valve 20 to a consumer's container 2, flash gas from which is passed through a line 8 to line 4.</p> |
