Stacking device

The stacking and cutting machine for printed material comprises a conveyor (12) which feeds a stream of overlapping printed items (P) to stacking chamber (24) with stacking shelves (26 -30) on which layers of articles are formed. A guillotine is positioned between the stacking chamber and a discharge conveyor to trim the stacks. An Independent claim is included for a method for stacking and simultaneously trimming printed material using the machine.
