Baking oven and oven cart conveying system

The baking chamber (20) accommodates rolling bakery trolleys (100, 110) and a conveying unit (300) selectively moving them in and out. The conveying equipment is arranged near the floor. It has at least one electrically-driven conveying chain (330) which grips the trolleys by friction acting on their skid rails (102, 112) to move them along. The chain is driven by a further chain (340 or 360) in a casing (380) sealing the baking chamber from the surroundings. The conveying unit (300) is modular in construction, hence can be removed from the chamber for cleaning or maintenance. It is heat-resistant.
