The hinge fitting for aluminum window shutters has a mounting plate (25) secured to the shutter to hold the hinge (12). The mounting plate is in two parts (3,4), which lock together in a positive fit when they are assembled. At least one holder arm (1) is at the first part and at least one further holder arm is at the second part. One of the two mounting plate parts has a cut-back recess (6) to accommodate a shoulder (5) at the other part.
