Fiber optic cable comprises a bundle of optical fibers surrounded by a sheath comprising (per 100 parts by weight of resin): 55-95 parts thermoplastic elastomer, 5-45 parts of a polyolefin with a m.pt. of 100degreesC or less, 10-20 parts inorganic filler and up to 6 parts lubricant. An Independent claim is also included for production of the fiber optic cable by applying the sheath to the bundle of optical fibers.
