FIELD: metallurgy, possibly manufacture of asymmetrical shapes. SUBSTANCE: method for making asymmetrical shapes comprises steps of heating metal; forming doubled shape having two asymmetrical shapes of final contour mutually joined by bridge; lengthwise dividing such shape by two ready asymmetrical shapes due to breaking their connection bridge; using non-driven disc cutters for dividing doubled shape. Thickness of connection bridge is not to be more than value received according to mathematical relation taking into account rigidity of cut material, increased value of cutting effort caused by bluntness of disc cutters; increased lateral gap between non-driven disc cutters after their long-therm usage; real deformation resistance of cut material; cutting degree; acceleration of gravity; specific mass; total length of doubled shape; distance from axis of rolling rolls until axis of non-driven disc cutters; rolling rate in last rolling stand; surface area of cross section of doubled shape. EFFECT: enhanced quality of division zones of shapes, lowered energy consumption due to dividing by cutting hot shapes, continuous process of rolling and division of doubled shape. 1 dwg, 1 ex |
