FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed method can be used for more effective cutting of rails into lengths. According to proposed method, nick is made on rail in cross direction, force is applied to section of rail at side opposite to nick, and rail length is broken off. Nick on rail is made in cross direction along foot to side surface of rail neck. EFFECT: provision of minimum possible size of rail nicks. |
