Flower bundling method, especially for tulips, by transferring them with heads facing down to horizontal position on collection device whilst holding their stems

Flowers (1) are gathered in a holder (7) with all the flowers held by by their stems with the heads facing downwards in a substantially vertical direction, then the flowers are transferred to a collection device (4) whilst being moved into a horizontal position with the stems held in a locating device (16), and then the ends of the stems are released so that the flowers fall onto the collection device, on which they come to rest lying flat.
