SUBSTANCE: liquid-phase hydrodechlorination of chloro-aromatic compounds is carried out on catalyst comprising in it composition palladium with addition of precious metals platinum, ruthenium or transient metals iron, cobalt or their mixtures. Catalyst contains palladium in the amount 1 wt.-%, not above, platinum and ruthenium in the amount 1 wt.-%, not above, iron, cobalt or their mixtures in the amount 1 wt.-%, not less. Process of agent of interphase transfer and reducing agent NaBH4 is carried out in an aqueous-ethanol medium in the molar ratio of components chloro-aromatic compound (by C-Cl) : palladium with additions of precious metals platinum, ruthenium or transient metals iron, cobalt or their mixtures : NaBH4 = (50-1000) : 1 : 3, respectively. Ammonium tetramethyl chloride, ammonium tetraethyl chloride, tetraethyl ammonium hydroxide, Aliqvat are used as agent of interphase transfer. Invention provides the development of method for hydrodechlorination using less amounts of catalyst and reducing agent NaBH4 in retention of high degrees of conversion of chloro-containing aromatic compounds.
