FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: machine is designed for driving generators, compressors, road vehicles, etc. It contains double-acting pistons with rods provided with toothed racks, and operating and synchronizing gears engaging with racks. Synchronizing gear is connected through shaft and clutch with electric motor. It has also two overrunning clutches with toothed rims installed on opposite shafts and engaging with each other.
