FIELD: medicine, angiology, proctology. SUBSTANCE: one should conduct ultrasound scanning of inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) and fibrocolonoscopy at simultaneous biopsy of large intestine and at stenosis being above 60% of IMA diameter and development of destructive processes in tissue components of large intestinal mucosa it is possible to establish the diagnosis. The method enables to detect chronic ischemia of large intestine much earlier, that is before availability of pronounced disease symptoms.
