PURPOSE: Provided are a cathode active material composition for a lithium-sulfur battery and the lithium-sulfur battery produced by using the composition, which is excellent in energy density and lifetime property. CONSTITUTION: The cathode active material composition contains: a cathode active material containing a sulfur-based compound; a binder; a conductive material; a surfactant being an oligomer or a polymer having a weight average molecular weight of 100-100,000; an organic solvent. And the lithium-sulfur battery contains: a cathode containing the cathode active material containing the sulfur-based compound, the binder, the conductive material, and the surfactant; an anode; an electrolyte; a separator.
