PURPOSE: A method for preparing wig of shape memory by ironing one time is provided to facilitate the management of the wig and present a desired hair style easily by combing. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: cutting the wig to conform to the user, adding a thio- or a cysteine solution, leaving the wig at 10-35 deg.C for 10-20 minutes and washing with mild hot water; drying the wig hair to the remaining water content of 10-40% and applying a moisturizer or a vegetable oil to the wig hair; ironing the wig hair by winding with an iron instrument at 80-250 deg.C; applying a neutralizer 1-4 times and leaving the wig for 10-20 minutes; and washing the wig hair with mild hot water and drying.
