Separator consists of two belts passing round pairs of driven pulleys situated horizontally between an upper and lower removal conveyor. Groups of cherries with multiple stalks are dropped from feed conveyor onto pulley belts, where stalks straddle belts and are separated as belts move apart to pass round pulleys, allowing cherries to pass onto removal conveyor. Individual cherries with single stems drop directly onto removal conveyor.
