PURPOSE: A method for informing of a service region using an information message of a short message service is provided to inform a user of a service region under situations where charging systems and services are different, thereby supplying a more transparent service to the user. CONSTITUTION: A short message service server transmits an information category list message of a short message service to a mobile station(S1-S3). The short message service server sets an information service channel to a 'user service region', and transmits a corresponding information message to the mobile station(S4-S6). The mobile station receives the message to store the message, extracts the information message corresponding to the 'user service region', and displays the extracted information message on a display(S7,S8). |
