PURPOSE: A method for searching telephone numbers of a mobile communication terminal is provided to write call lists by assigning priorities based on call frequency, and to continuously update the call lists, then to show the call lists or dial a telephone number by using the call lists, thereby easily selecting a desired telephone number. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal determines priorities of each telephone number based on call frequency, arranges the telephone numbers based on the priorities, and writes call lists(S1,S2). The terminal changes the priorities according to call frequency changes of the telephone numbers, and updates the call lists based on a direct call frequency change request of a user or based on the changed priorities(S3,S4). The terminal selects a telephone number requested by the user from the call lists, displays detailed information on the telephone number or makes a call with the selected telephone number(S5,S6).
