PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to maintain the cavity clean by preventing the air passed through the electrical component chamber from flowing into the cavity. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven comprises an inner case(10) having a cavity(1); an outer case(20) coupled to the inner case, which forms an outer appearance of the microwave oven; an electrical component chamber(2) arranged between the inner case and the outer case; and an air intake unit(30) arranged on the inner case so as to allow for an air ventilation of the cavity. The air intake unit includes an air intake duct interposed between the upper wall of the inner case and the upper wall of the outer case; a plurality of inlet holes(32) formed on the upper wall of the outer case so as to allow the outdoor air to flow into the air intake duct; and a plurality of outlet holes(33) formed on the upper wall of the inner case so as to allow the air to flow to the cavity from the air intake duct.
