PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire having the improved handling performance is provided to improve the durability of a sidewall and the handling performance of the tire at the same time without mounting a separate reinforcing material by improving the strength of the sidewall. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tire having the improved handling performance is composed of a tread(1), a sidewall(2), a bead unit(3), and a carcass(10) turned up and mounted to a bead core(30). The end of the carcass turning up the bead core is bent from the upside of a bead filler to the lower side and overlapped, and bent upward and overlapped again. In the overlapped part of the carcass mounted to the outside of the bead filler, from the upper end to the lower side is 10¯50mm and from the upper end to the upside is 10¯50mm.
