摘要 PURPOSE: A device and method for controlling a lane separation alarm of a vehicle is provided to stabilize the lane width of a present frame, to reduce the change of a deviation level value, and accordingly to reduce wrong alarms and sound the alarm at the proper time. CONSTITUTION: A device and method for controlling a lane separation alarm of a vehicle is composed of an image photographing unit(110), an image processing control unit(120), a memory unit(130), an indicating unit(140), and an alarming unit(150). The image photographing unit photographs a lane on which the vehicle travels and outputs an image signal. The image processing control unit draws lane components to each frame from an image signal input from the image photographing unit, updates and computes data for a lane width of a past frame in computing the lane width of a present frame, calculates deviation level by using the computed lane width of the present frame, and generates indicating and alarming control signals by comparing the calculated deviation level with a set value. The memory unit stores a lane width value computed from each frame formulas and the set value of deviation level. The indicating unit is driven to the input of an indicating control signal supplied from the image processing control unit to indicate a traveling lane. The alarming unit is driven to the input of the alarming control signal supplied from the image processing control unit to alarm the deviation condition.
