PURPOSE: A system and method for managing a use of a computer is provided to enable a child to use a computer based on an approval and a management of parents and automatically control a computer use of the child. CONSTITUTION: An ARS system(14) receives personal information and a password of parents, computer identification of a child of the parents, and available program/connection prevention site information for the child for a member joining process. The ARS system(14) executes an authentication based on the personal information and computer use information. A member information database(16) stores the received personal information, the password, and the computer identification of the child. An approval information database(18) according to members stores the available program/connection prevention site information of the child. A server(20) is connected to the ARS system(14) through the medium of a data line, approves a use of the computer(10) of the child, stores the available program/connection prevention site information in the approval information database(18), receives use state information from the computer(10), and automatically controls the computer(10).
