PURPOSE: A device for preventing frost of an outdoor unit for a heating and cooling device is provided to prevent lowering of heating efficiency by installing a hot water circulation coil to an evaporator of the outdoor unit. CONSTITUTION: In a device for preventing frost of an outdoor unit(20) for a heating and cooling device, a hot water circulation coil(30) is installed closely to an outdoor heat exchanger(21) of the outdoor unit. A hot water inlet(30a) of the hot water circulation coil is connected to a discharge outlet(33b) of a hot water circulation pump(33) through a first pipe line(32). An inlet(33a) of the hot water circulation pump is connected to a discharge outlet(35b) of an instant hot water heater(35) through a second pipe line(34). An inlet(35a) of the instant hot water heater is connected to a hot water discharge outlet(30b) of the hot water circulation coil through a third pipe line(36). The hot water circulation pump and the instant hot water heater are electrically connected with a controller(38) to be operated by a user.
