The communication process has a management unit for a battery (2) and a charger (4) with a mechanism (8) transmitting information to the battery taking account of the charge profile. A transmission step generates a high frequency signal in a feed cable (6) from the mechanism. The signal is analysed by the charger , adapting the charge profile to apply to the battery.
