PURPOSE: A bamboo container and a method for boiling rice using the bamboo container are provided to extract medical substance from the bamboo container in a lower temperature to improve the health of a user. CONSTITUTION: A method for boiling rice using a bamboo container(10) is composed of steps of cutting a bamboo tube(11) at joints(12) to form cylinder shape having a blind end at one side, forming the bamboo container by cutting the bamboo tube from the outer portion to the inner portion to be 1 to 2 cm thickness, filling the bamboo container with rice(21), covering the container with hemp cloth or Korean paper(30), steaming the bamboo container in a steamer(40), splitting the bamboo container after steaming of rice, and exposing the steamed rice outside.
