PURPOSE: A method for mounting a photo diode of an optical pickup is provided to control the position of a photo diode in the close contact between a supporting plate and a pickup base for improving the reliability and simplify the photo diode mounting step. CONSTITUTION: A method for mounting a photo diode of an optical pickup includes the steps of fixing an end of a PCB(22) to an end of a supporting plate(20) formed with a beam transmission hole(32) at a light incident part and both ends folded in the same direction, and controlling the position of a photo diode by moving the supporting plate in every direction by control rods(40) under close contact with the pickup base after coupling the control rods to penetrate the PCB and the supporting plate. As the position of the photo diode is controlled, offset is controlled by moving the PCB backward and forward via an offset control rod(50). After the offset control, the other end of the PCB is fixed to the supporting plate by soldering and the supporting plate and the pickup base is temporarily fixed by doping an adhesive agent(60) therebetween. For the permanent fixing, reinforcement bonding(70) is processed for the supporting plate and the pickup base. |
