PURPOSE: An axially switched gearing system is provided to exactly transmit power by using one rack and two pinions even if two shafts are mutually parallel or cross each other and to perform unidirectional and reverse rotations of the pinion. CONSTITUTION: An axially switched gearing system(100) is composed of a first gear module(160) including a first rotary shaft(163) mounted to the side and a first pinion(165) installed to the first rotary shaft; a second gear module(120) including a second rotary shaft(126) installed perpendicularly to the first rotary shaft and a second pinion(124) installed to the second rotary shaft; and an axially switched rack(140) formed in a rod shape to transmit power of the first gear module to the second gear module or power of the second gear module to the first gear module. The axially switched rack includes a first gear unit(144) combined with the first pinion at the side and a second gear unit(142) combined to the second pinion at other side.
