PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display realizing a low power consumption and a high-speed response with respect to display, using current control light emitting elements. SOLUTION: The display includes: a display panel composed of a plurality of data lines, a plurality of scanning lines, effective pixels, using the spontaneous light emitting elements contributing to a plurality of displays, and dummy pixels contributing to no display; a scanning circuit outputting a scanning signal outputting a first electric potential showing a display position on the display panel or a second electric potential showing no display position by inputting a plurality of timing signals to the scanning lines, respectively; and a data driving circuit converting an input signal into a driving signal and outputting the driving signal to the effective pixels and the dummy pixels, respectively through a switch and the data lines. The scanning circuit outputs the scanning signal to scan the effective pixels and the dummy pixels within a one-scanning period. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
